Overview

The Victron Energy Blue Power Lithium 12.8v Smart LiFePO4 Leisure Battery is built with integrated cell balancing and can be placed in a series or parallel connection all of the battery data such as cell voltage and temperature can be monitored via the Victron Connect app.

Why Lithium-Iron-Phosphate?

Also known as LiFePO4 or LFP this leisure battery is not just regarded as one of the safest battery’s in the range of mainstream li-ion battery’s but the nominal voltage of a single cell is 3.2v which means a 12.8v battery is made up of just four cells connected into a series.

Efficiency

The Victron LiFePO4 Leisure Battery includes a round trip energy efficiency of 92% comparing the LiFePO4 to lead-acid batteries which can become inefficient when the state of charge is 80% this results in efficiencies of 50% or less compared to the Victron LiFePO4 Leisure Battery which still achieves 90% efficiency under a shallow discharge.
